It's been two
months since my first diagnosis as positive for HIV,
and a month since finding out I was at the serious
level of AIDs (You can read
the previous update here) and thanks to the
support of family, friends and fans, I've been able
to start medication (specifically Atripla). However,
it is expensive @ $2,000 per monthly prescription -
which I have to continue to take for the rest of my
life -
and as a struggling artist, I'm still trying to
figure out ways to afford it, as well as the other
basic bills. I also can't afford to have a lapse in
the medication, as I've learned that even a matter
of a few days could give the virus time to mutate and become
immune to medication, leading to other types of
medications with more severe possible side effects.
I'm still in a
very weakened condition and susceptible to illnesses
and infections - many more things that the body can
normally fight off can be severe with my low immune
system. Aside from the medication,
I'm also improving my daily diet, trying to get as
much rest as I can and many calories in my system to
counteract that effects AIDs has had on my
body. Much of my time these past two months were
spent with visits to the doctors, so I'm just now
starting to be able to start drawing again. The good news is that, with the medication,
the range of full recovery is anywhere between 2 - 6
months - and I'm excited at the prospect of my
energy levels returning to a point where I can knock
out artworks like I used to.
In the
meantime,
while I'm recovering, I still really need some help.
I've been coming up with various options available
to help! The easiest way to help is with a donation
- I really appreciate the donations that have come
in since last month, and every little bit has gone a
long way in helping. You can make a donation through
Paypal by clicking the link below!
Creative Design Outlet (CDO) is also running a promotion to help
- by giving me 100% of the sales. I appreciate the support from the PSP
community and from signature taggers, so if you'd like to help by purchasing
tubes, here's the link to my images available!
Other
ways to show your support is by purchasing prints
through eBay or my Online Store here on the website.
eBay currently has new policies in place to restrict
the number of listings and amount I make each month,
as well as holding payments for up to 30 days after
proof of delivery - but that can be fixed (they say)
with more 5-star ratings in the Shipping Time
feedback system. If you'd like to help combat eBay's
restrictions, there are many prints for sale that
aren't available in my Online Store - and will help restore my status
so that I can once again offer more unique auctions
sooner! * Note - funds aren't held for orders placed
through the Online Store!
A custom
art commission is also a great way to help - and
you'll get a unique original artwork! There are many
options for various sizes and prices in my Online
Store! * Please note that the turnaround time on
commissions may be delayed during my recovery these
next few months.
PLEASE
STAY TUNED - MORE TO COME! There's
hot new special items and special new website
section coming in March!
Follow me on Facebook , Twitter, and DeviantArt for
more art and updates!

YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! |
